How to add a display board

Before creating a display board, you must create a Stats point object first, in order to specify what data should be collected for display. For information about creating or editing Stats points, refer to Stats points section. |
To add a new display board, select the Live stats tab and click on the Add button at the top-right corner of the display boards list, as shown below:

A new window will open, which allows you to select one of the following three options:
- Create blank: This option allows you to design your own display board from scratch
- Create from a template: This option allows you to choose a predefined display board template
- Create from an existing Display board: This option allows you to create a new display board based on an existing template

Create blank
Blank Display boards start off as completely blank screens, allowing you to determine what panels you would like to add.
To design your own Display board, select the
option from the list provided, enter a relevant name and then click
, as shown in the screenshot below:

A new window will pop-up allowing you to design your panels. For information on how to design your own display board, check the Designing a Display board page.

Create from a template
Creating a display board from a template is the quickest and easiest ways to set up a wallboard. Select the

Next step is to choose from a list of predefined templates. To select your preferred one, click on the numbers that correspond to each template, then press theNextbutton.

You are now given the option to add a stats collection point or skip this stage. Remember your Display board will be blank until you choose a stats point with which to populate it.

Don't select a stats collection point
If you don't want to select a stats collection point at this time, clickFinishand your display board will be added to the list. You will be allowed to add a stats collection point at a later stage, by following the same wizard. Please visit the Adding a Stats point page for information on how to create a stats collection point for your display board.
Select an existing stats collection point
If you decide to use an existing stats collection point, you will be provided with a list of all stats collection points that exist already in the system, as shown in the example below:

Select from the relevant stats point from list provided, then clickFinish. Your display board will now be added to your display boards list and you can view it by clicking on the

Create from an existing display board
You can also create a display board from an existing one, if for example you want a consistent look through all your company's display boards. To do so, give your display board a relevant name and select Create from an existing Display board option from the list provided, then click Next.

Next step will enable to choose from the existing list of display boards. Select the one that you want to copy, then click

When adding a display board, you have the ability to choose which users will be able to access it. If you click on the
button from the bottom-left corner, you can select the site and user group you want to restrict the access to.

In the example above, your display board will be accessible to web users that have permissions to the London-Admin group. If a web user has access only to London-Accounts group, they will not be able to see this display board.
