Overview
Channel Channels are system objects representing your telephone lines. When you first configure the systemTIM Plus, the channels will populate the Directory automatically as soon as they are being used, and by default, they are added initially in a folder, called Discovered channels. Each individual channel object can be edited afterwards or moved into a different group, if requiredyour channels are automatically harvested from the data received from the phone system, into a folder named Discovered Channels. The properties of each channel can be edited afterwards, and channels can also be organised subsequently into new channel groups, if preferred.

Finding a channel
To search for locate a channel in the system and see in which group it is locatedDirectory, select the tab and click on the button at the top-right corner of the screenContents panel, as shown below:

In the new window that opens, enter the name or number ID of the channel you are looking for, then click on the button. The results will appear in the same window, as shown below:

Before adding a new channel in to the system, search for the channel number check that it doesn't already exist, by searching for it in the Directory to ensure you are not creating duplications. |
To manually add a channel in to the system, click on the tab and select the site and group where you want to add the new channel to be added, then click on the button at the top-right corner of the Contents panel:

Once you have configured the channels 's properties of the channel, click on the button, as shown below:

Editing a channel's properties
To edit the properties of a channel's properties, locate the channel in the Directory, select it and click on the button at the top-right corner of the Contents panel:

A new window will appear open, allowing you to edit the properties of the channel's properties. Overtype any details you would like to change, as shown below:. Click to apply the changes.

- Click on the locate select the group which contains the channel you want to move over to the new group. tab and
- Select the channel, by ticking the box alongside it. The top-left panel of the screen will now temporarily change to the a Move items panel and containing the selected channel will be copied here.

To delete a channel from the system, select it and click on the button at the top-right corner of the Contents panel:

The In the Channel properties window that will open. Click , click on the button to remove the channel from the Directory; a confirmation will be required, to prevent users channels being deleted accidentally.
