<p>These instructions should assist in configuring your Panasonic DBS Series to 
work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX 
configuration, please contact your system maintainer.</p>

<h2>Configuring your SMDR</h2>

<p>Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Panasonic DBS series to output SMDR to TIM Enterprise, you will need to do this from the Operator phone:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Press the <span class="button" id="list">ON/OFF</span> key.</li>
	<li>Press the <span class="button" id="list">RECALL</span> key.</li>
	<li>Press <span class="keyword">##</span>. You are now in <i>Programming mode</i>.</li>
	<li>Navigate to <span class="reference">Call logging/Remote programming</span> parameters.</li>
	<li>Go to <span class="reference">Call logging-parity check</span> and select <span class="keyword">1</span> and then press the <span class="button" id="list">#</span> key.</li>
	<li>Go to <span class="reference">Call logging-even/odd parity</span> and select <span class="keyword">1</span> and then press the <span class="button" id="list">#</span> key.</li>
	<li>Go to <span class="reference">Call logging-baud rate (SMDR)</span> and select <span class="keyword">4</span> and then press the <span class="button" id="list">#</span> key.</li>
	<li>Go to <span class="reference">Call logging-stop bit</span> and select <span class="keyword">1</span> and then press the <span class="button" id="list">#</span> key.</li>
	<li>Go to <span class="reference">Call logging-data length</span> and select <span class="keyword">4</span> and then press the <span class="button" id="list">#</span> key.</li>
	<li>Got to <span class="reference">Call logging-printing selection out/in</span>, select <span class="keyword">1</span> which will give you incoming and outgoing calls</li>
	<li>Go to <span class="reference">Call logging-printing selection local/long distance calls</span>, select <span class="keyword">1</span> which will print all outgoing calls and then 
	press the <span class="button" id="list">#</span> key.</li>
	<li>Press the <span class="button" id="list">ON/OFF</span> key and you settings will be saved.</li>

<h2>Configuring TIM Enterprise</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Panasonic DBS 40:</p>

	<li>Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button" id="list">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Panasonic DBS 40'.</li>
	<li>Left-click on it and select <span class="button" id="list">Properties</span>.</li>
	<li>From the <span class="button" id="list">General</span> settings tab select <span class="keyword">Panasonic DBS Series</span> from the PBX model list.</li>

	<li>In the <span class="button" id="list">Connection</span> tab select <span class="keyword">No connection required</span> from the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> list.</li>

These instructions help you configure your Panasonic DBS Series phone system to work with TIM Enterprise. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring your SMDR output

Follow the steps below to configure your Panasonic DBS Series to output SMDR data to TIM Enterprise. The configuration needs to be performed from the Operator phone:

  1. Press the ON/OFF key.
  2. Press the RECALL key.
  3. Press ## to enter the Programming mode.
  4. Navigate to Call logging/Remote programming parameters.
  5. Go to Call logging - Parity check and select 1, then press the # key.
  6. Go to Call logging - Even/Odd parity and select 1, then press the # key.
  7. Go to Call logging - Baud rate (SMDR) and select 4, then press the # key.
  8. Go to Call logging - Stop bit and select 1, then press the # key.
  9. Go to Call logging - Data length and select 4, then press the # key.
  10. Go to Call logging - Printing selection out/in and select 1 for incoming and outgoing calls.
  11. Go to Call logging - Printing selection local/long distance calls and select 1 to print all outgoing calls, then press the # key.
  12. Press the ON/OFF key to save the settings.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log in to TIM Enterprise and perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Locate the PBX object you want to configure in the Directory, right-click on it and select Properties.
  3. A new window will open, displaying the general properties of your PBX object. Select Panasonic DBS Series from the Data format list and tick the

  4. Click on the Connection tab and select No connection required from the Connection method list.
  5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
