These instructions help you configure your Alcatel OmniPCX Office phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Before enabling the SMDR output, you will need to speak with your phone maintainer to buy the required licenses for your Alcatel phone system. |
Follow the instructions below to configure the SMDR output for your Alcatel OmniPCX Office phone system.:
Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office Communication Server supports two types of call metering:
- V24 metering supports V24 printing for all call metering tickets.
- IP metering supports IP printing for call metering tickets originating from a 3rd 3rd party application (Business or Hotel) via an IP connection.
The type of metering must be specified when the Office Link driver is installed. The driver can be installed in set to one of two modes: hotel or or metering. You You can use the OMC Counting function to specify the type of call metering for hardcopy printouts.
To set printing options for call metering tickets, please follow the steps below:

Installing the Alcatel Office Link Driver
If your Alcatel OmniPCX Office has been configured to send SMDR data via IP, you will first need to install the Alcatel Office Link Driver to configure enable the SMDR output.
For information on how to install the Alcatel Office Link Driver, please refer to the Alcatel OmniPCX Office manual or speak to your system maintainer.

Setting up a DSN connection for TIM Plus
To get TIM Plus to work with the Alcatel Office Link Driver, you will need to setup a DSN connection . Below you will find instructions on how to do this within Microsoft Windows:
- Click on Windows .
- Click on .
- Double click on icon.
- Double click on icon.
- Click on the tab.
- Click on the button.
- Select Native from the list and click .
- In the Name field enter: TIM Plus - Alcatel OHL.
- In the Database name field enter: Native.
- Click on the button and then again to close the window.
Now you will be able to see the TIM Plus - Alcatel OHL in the list.

Installing NetPBX
If your Alcatel OmniPCX Office has been configured to send SMDR data via a IP connection, you first need to install the NetPBX software to collect the data from the xml file reader and send it to TIM Plus. For setup instructions, click on the link below:
Configuring TIM Plus
Once the DSN connection has been setupNetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply perform the following settingssteps:
- Click on the the tab tab.
- Click on Choose the site configured during the setup wizard you want to configure and click .

- In the Connection method field select Connect to a system DSN from the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
- In the DSN name field select TIM Plus - Alcatel OHL from the drop-down list.
- In the Frequency field enter in 5. This will check for data every five seconds.
- In the DB script field select Alcatel OmniPCX Office OHL from the drop-down list.
- Click on the button Click on the button to apply the settings.
