<p>These instructions should assist in configuring your BT Monarch to
work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX
configuration, please contact your system maintainer.</p>

As the BT Monarch sends SMDR information via a serial connection which is located on the BT Monarch unit itself, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the BT Monarch to the PC that
NetPBX is installed and running on.

<p>For your SMDR configuration, you will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output.</p>
<h2>Configuring TIM Enterprise</h2>
<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your BT Monarch:</p>
<ol>
<li>Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
<li>Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'BT Monarch'.</li>
<li>Left-click on it and select <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>
<li>From the <span class="button no_margin">General</span> settings tab select <span class="keyword">BT Monarch</span> from the PBX model list.</li>

<li>In the <span class="button no_margin">Connection</span> tab select <span class="keyword">No connection required</span> from the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> list.</li>
<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>

Configuring your SMDR output
Please contact your system maintainer for information about how to configure the SMDR output of your BT Monarch.

Installing NetPBX
The BT Monarch phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Enterprise, you first need to install the netpbx software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configuring TIM Enterprise
Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log in to TIM Enterprise and perform the following steps:
- Click on the Directory tab.
- Locate the PBX object you want to configure in the Directory, right-click on it and select Properties.
- A new window will open, displaying the general properties of your PBX object. Select BT Monarch from the Data format list and tick the
