These instructions help you configure your SpliceCom your Splicecom Maximiser phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring the SMDR output

By default, the call logging output of the Splicecom Maximiser is enabled and you do not normally require a password to obtain it.  To protect your call logging data, you can set a

<p>By default the SMDR output on the SpliceCom Maximiser is enabled. Please check with your system maintainer if they have added a 'Call Logging' password. If they have, they will need to tell 
you what it is as TIM Plus will require it when it connects.</p>

<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>

<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to connect to your SpliceCom Maximiser to receive SMDR:</p>

<ol>
	<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
	<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
	<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>

	<li>Within the <span class="reference">Site Properties</span> window, select <span class="keyword">SpliceCom Maximiser</span> from the <span class="reference">PBX model</span> drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection method</span> field select <span class="keyword">Actively connect to PBX</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Host</span> field enter the IP Address of your SpliceCom Maximiser.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Port</span> field enter in <span class="keyword">4001</span>.</li>
	<li>Leave the <span class="reference">Username</span> and <span class="reference">Password</span> fields blank.</li>
	<li>In the <span class="reference">Connection script</span> field select <span class="keyword">SpliceCom Maximiser</span> from the drop-down list.</li>
	<li>Finally, click on the <span class="button no_margin">Save</span> button.</li>

Configuring TIM Plus

Follow the steps below to configure TIM Plus to collect call logging data from your Splicecom Maximiser:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. Choose the site you want to configure and click Properties.

  3. In the Site Properties window, select Splicecom Maximiser from the PBX model drop-down list.
  4. In the Connection method field, select Actively connect to PBX from the drop-down list.
  5. In the Host field, enter the IP address of your Splicecom Maximiser.
  6. In the Port field, enter 4001.
  7. Leave the Username field blank.
  8. If your Maximiser has a

     set, enter it in the Password field; if not, leave it blank.
  9. In the Connection script field, select Splicecom Maximiser from the drop-down list.
  10. Click on the Save button to apply the changes.
