The GEC BTEX phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You need to directly connect a serial cable from the GEC BTEX phone system to the PC that netpbx is installed and running on.
For more information about the output and configuration of your SMDR data, please contact your phone system maintainer.

Installing NetPBX
The GEC BTEX phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the call logging data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install the NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configuring TIM Plus
Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply perform the following settingssteps below:
- Click on the tab.
- Select Choose the site configured during the setup wizard you want to configure and click .

- In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
- Click on the button to apply the settings.

<p>For your SMDR configuration, please note that GEC BTEX has multiple output formats. For TIM Plus, the output will need to be configured to the <span class="keyword">600S</span> format.</p>
<h2>Configuring TIM Plus</h2>
<p>Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Plus to listen for SMDR data from your GEC BTEX 600S:</p>
<ol>
<li>Browse to TIM Plus as normal and login with your credentials.</li>
<li>Click on the <span class="button no_margin">Directory</span> tab.</li>
<li>Click on the site configured during the setup wizard and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>or create a new site and click <span class="button no_margin">Properties</span>.</li>
