If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.</p> <table class="confluenceTable"> <tbody> <tr> <th class="confluenceTh" width=158>Connection information</th> <th class="confluenceTh">Description</th> </tr> <tr> <td class="confluenceTd"><b>Connection type</b></td> <td class="confluenceTd"><b>Serial Output: </b> The Mitel 3100 sends the SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Upper Serial Port 1 on the Mitel 3100 to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on. </td> </tr> <tr> <td class="confluenceTd"><b>Cable configuration</b></td> <td class="confluenceTd">Straight-through. </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <h2>Configuring your SMDR</h2> <p>Below you will find the steps to configure your Mitel 3100 to output SMDR via a serials connection:</p> <ol> <li>Using an RS-232 cable, connect the printer or PC to the call logging (SMDR) port on the front of the controller.</li> <li>Launch the system tool.</li> <li>Choose <span class="button" id="list">Voice</span> from the selection menu.</li> <li>Click <span class="button" id="list">Management</span>, click <span class="button" id="list">Call Logging</span>, and then click <span class="button" id="list">Change</span>.</li> <li>Set the following parameters:</li> <ul class="content"> <li>Set the <span class="reference">Cost per minute</span> to <span class="keyword">00</span>.
