Mitel SX2000

These instructions help you configure your Mitel SX50 SX2000 phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

The Mitel SX2000 phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Mitel SX2000 phone system your Mitel to the PC that NetPBX netpbx is installed and running on. HoweverBy default, the Mitel SX2000 doesn't have the SMDR enabled by default, so you will need to speak with your phone maintainer for more information about the output configurationSMDR output of your Mitel is not enabled. For more information about enabling and configuring the SMDR output, you should speak to your system maintainer.

Installing NetPBX

To collect the call logging data from the serial port of your Mitel and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install the NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on in to TIM Plus as usual and apply perform the following settingssteps below:

1. Click on the Directory tab.
2. Select Choose the site configured during the setup wizard and clickyou want to configure and click Properties.

3. Within In the Site Properties window, select Mitel SX2000 from the PBX model drop-down list.
4. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
