GEC BTEX

These instructions help you configure your GEC BTEX phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Configuring your SMDR output

For your SMDR configuration, please note that GEC BTEX has multiple output formats. For TIM Plus, the output will need to be configured to the 600S format.

Installing NetPBX

The GEC BTEX phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus, you will first need to install the NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configuring TIM Plus

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log on to TIM Plus as usual and apply the following settings:

1. Click on the Directory tab.
2. Select the site configured during the setup wizard and clickProperties.
   
   
3. Within the Site Properties window, select GEC BTEX 600S from the PBX model drop-down list.
4. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
5. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
