Inter-Tel Axxess up to V7.x

These instructions should assist in configuring your Inter-Tel Axxess to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information	Description
Connection type	Serial Output: As the Inter-Tel Axxess sends SMDR information via a serial connection which is located on the Inter-Tel Axxess unit itself, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Inter-Tel Axxess to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration	Straight-through.

Configuring your SMDR

BP firmware R12 or older

If you are using firmware which is older than R12 you need to setup the SMDR output to CIL3.

BP firmware R13+

If you are using firmware R13+ you will need to set the SMDR output to 'Flexible CIL' and configure the options as below:

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Aastra BP:

Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
Click on the Directory tab.
Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Aastra BP'.
Left-click on it and select Properties.
From the General settings tab select Aastra BP from the PBX model list.

In the Connection tab select No connection required from the Connection method list.
Finally, click on the Save button.
