These instructions should assist in configuring your ShoreTel to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection type | Serial Output or IP: If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send SMDR information via a serial connection, you will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Siemens HiCom-HiPath PBX to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on. |

IP method | TCP/IP connection: If the Siemens HiCom-HiPath is configured to send the SMDR information via TCP/IP the actual installation of TIM Enterprise can be anywhere on the network that the PBX is connected to. The Siemens HiCom-HiPath will need to be configured to send the SMDR data to the IP address and TCP port that TIM Enterprise is listening on. |
For your SMDR configuration, you will need to speak to your system maintainer to enable SMDR output.
Configuring TIM Enterprise
Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your ShoreTel:
- Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
- Click on the tab.
- Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'ShoreTel'.
- Left-click on it and select .
- From the ShoreTel from the PBX model list. settings tab select
- In the Listen for connection from PBX from the Connection method list. tab select
- In the DSN field enter in ShoreTel.
- In the Frequency field enter in 5.
- In the DB script field enter in ShoreTel.
- Finally, click on the button.
