These instructions should assist in configuring your Avaya Norstar to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection type | Serial Output: The Avaya Norstar requires a CLI2 box. If you don't have one you should speak to your system maintainer to purchase one. Avaya Norstar PBX sends SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the CLI2 box to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on. |

Configuring your CDR
Below you will find instructions on how to configure your Avaya Norstar to output CDR to TIM Enterprise. You will need to do this from a system programming phone:
- On your programming phone, press the 9*2 to access the CLI menu. key and then
- Press and you will see 'Printer and the current baud rate that the data is sent. If want to change this, select and select the new baud rate.
- Press Format. Select and set it to Norstar. and you will see
- Press Report. Please leave this as the default which is All. and you will see
- Now press the button as the programming is complete.
Configuring TIM Enterprise
Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Avaya Norstar:
- Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
- Click on the tab.
- Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Avaya Norstar'.
- Left-click on it and select .
- From the Avaya Norstar from the PBX model list. settings tab select
- In the No connection required from the Connection method list. tab select
- Finally, click on the button.
