Mitel 3100

These instructions should assist in configuring your Mitel 3100 to work with TIM Enterprise. If you are not familiar with PBX configuration, please contact your system maintainer.

Connection information	Description
Connection type	Serial Output: The Mitel 3100 sends the SMDR information via a serial connection. You will need to directly connect a serial cable from the Upper Serial Port 1 on the Mitel 3100 to the PC that NetPBX is installed and running on.
Cable configuration	Straight-through.

Configuring your SMDR

Below you will find the steps to configure your Mitel 3100 to output SMDR via a serials connection:

Using an RS-232 cable, connect the printer or PC to the call logging (SMDR) port on the front of the controller.
Launch the system tool.
Choose Voice from the selection menu.
Click Management, click Call Logging, and then click Change.
Set the following parameters:

Set the Cost per minute to 00. This functionality is not supported in NA systems.
Set the Minimum call duration to be recorded to 00:00:00.
Set the Type of calls to All .This should be the default.
Set the Minimum page length to 1.
Enable call logging.

Click Save.
You will need to 'commit' your changes before they take effect.

Configuring TIM Enterprise

Below you will find steps on how to configure TIM Enterprise to listen for SMDR data from your Mitel 3100:

Browse to TIM Enterprise as normal and login with your credentials.
Click on the Directory tab.
Go the the point in the Directory where you need to add the PBX Object and add a PBX with the name 'Mitel 3100'.
Left-click on it and select Properties.
From the General settings tab select Mitel 3100 from the PBX model list.

In the Connection tab select No connection required from the Connection method list.
Finally, click on the Save button.
